Founded in 1896, Rutland Regional Medical Center has grown from a 10-bed hospital on Nichols Street with eight attending physicians into Vermont's second largest health care facility. RRMC has 188 licensed beds and more than 120 physicians trained in 35 specialty areas.
Providing preventive, diagnostic, acute and rehabilitative services, Rutland Regional Medical Center serves Rutland County, portions of southern and central Vermont and communities in eastern New York State. Our medical staff is supported by excellent nursing, high quality diagnostic and ancillary services and a broad array of sophisticated equipment, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging, a top-of-the-line linear accelerator, used in the treatment of cancer patients, and a diagnostic Cardiovascular and Angiographic Lab.
Rutland Regional Medical Center is the nucleus of Rutland Regional Health Services, a collaborative system of health care providers offering education, primary care, inpatient and outpatient acute care, rehabilitation and assisted living housing.
